Akishev, begun excavating a huge mound, located 50 kilometers east from Alma-Ata. There were, in the grave that lined with spruce logs, remains of the clothing Saka warrior on the wooden floor, who was entirely covered with gold plates (Golden Warrior). His head was crowned with a high pointed hat that decorated with images of winged horses, symbolizing the god of the sun. Long sword and short dagger were his arms.

Together with the soldier in the grave were clay vessels from mare's milk, wooden trays with chunks of meat, precious vessels of silver and bronze. Young man, who was buried in the mound, was a member of the Saka - tigrahaud rulers. According to Kazakh archeologists, he was the representative of the ruling dynasty of the Empire of Great Kushans. According to anthropologists, buried young man was 17-18 years. He was dressed in a coat that richly decorated with gold plaques, and belt, which richly embroidered with gold ceremonial clothing. Total headdress had about 150 ornaments. Most of them had stamped images of snow leopards, tau-teke (mountain goat), argali, horses and birds. Outerwear of the warrior consisted of caftan and pants. Short leather caftan was red-colored and entirely sheathed in gold plaques, and the board, bottom - large square with the image of tiger's head. Total coat was adorned with about four thousand gold objects.

In the burial chamber, carefully felled trunks from Tien Shan spruce, archaeologists found more than four thousand gold jewelries: jewelry items of clothing, headgear and footwear, rings, statues and plaques. There were a vessel of wood, clay, bronze and silver on the floor. The location of items that adorned the front armor of the buried warrior, remains of the iron sword and dagger allowed researchers to reconstruct the result of hard work - look Saka warrior.
